SENATOR JIM MUNSON JOINS IN MOURNING THEBATHURST CRASH

OTTAWA, January 14, 2008 – The Honourable Jim Munson, Senator (Ottawa – Rideau Canal), originally from Northern New Brunswick, expressed his deep sorrow at the tragic crash that claimed the lives of many young Bathurst High School students and a teacher.

“My heart breaks at the loss endured by the families, friends, students and indeed – the whole community of Bathurst, New Brunswick.  Bathurst is home to me.  Home is where the heart is, and mine, like so many, is broken after this terrible tragedy,” said Senator Munson.

“In moments like this, of unbelievable sorrow, a community pulls together to mourn and to heal.  It will take many steps, many kind words and gestures, and many hugs to get there, but if any community can do that, Bathurst can.”

“Ginette joins me in sending our deepest sympathies to the families and friends and students ofBathurst High School.”
